Be More Mushroom.

Imagine, if you will, a young woman deciding that a rather toxic male dominated business culture might only be tackled by setting an example to her female peers and forging connections and ideas with people in other countries. Creating a network of nourishing ideas that traverse borders and language. 

This thought communicates not only the undeniable network one creates when studying on the ESMT GOMBA, but also the exchange of ideas and positive energies that can cross between students from different backgrounds and attitudes.

Technology makes a truly global network possible but the natural world beat us to it. The Mycelial network stretches across forests, hills, mountains and sometimes countries. Not only do we think using a mushroom analogy to communicate how the MBA network is beneficial, it is also a beautiful and inspiring concept. We need a stand out execution that is beyond what is expected from education centres.

Anything is Possible had a clear idea of the aesthetic they wanted to achieve with this project and supplied us with references to work from. We needed to create compositions that fulfilled the criteria of creating realistic mushroom designs whilst integrating global maps and lines of energy within strong compositions as well as developing animatics to succinctly introduce the mushrooms, the mycelium and the global element.

We sketched out and created several concepts including ‘brain shrooms’ and globes created from mycelium networks. At each stage we refined the content to ensure we were including all the subtle intricacies the client required, even spores textured like brains. A fun project for all involved we hope we can develop the concept further in the future.
