OUR SHARED HISTORY

Over a decade ago in 2011 Mainframe and the creative team at Harrods collaborated augmenting stills supplied by harrods and creating fully CG handbags and boxes for a campaign called ‘A week in her shoes’ that coincided with London fashion week.

Over the years we have enjoyed creating content with Harrods for in store screens, social media and windows. Everything from animating Christmas stories, to promoting services, sales and events and until our last collaboration which was a short animation celebrating the re-opening of Harrods doors after the pandemic.

The projects have required lots of techniques and skills, from green screen shoots, vfx and fully CG content including realistic ants and clockwork bees.

Here are a selection of some of our favourite projects. They range from £5k, (Paper Sale) to £85k, (Bear Tale) in cost. There are many factors that determine the cost of a project, complexity and time being the main factors. However, we are always open to looking at ways to make budgets stretch. Fine Jewellery had a very challenging budget, sub £20k. By utilising time spread over a longer period to we managed to make it work.

Luxury

As well as our relationship with Harrods we have also had the opportunity to work with many other luxury brands. From skincare to whiskey and luggage to jewellery here are a few of our favourite projects.

Ranging from £8k to £350k again the budget usually depends on complexity and duration, but no matter the budget we always create beautiful renditions of products and animations.

At the top end of the scale we created the content for all the screens in the new One Za’abeel development in Dubai. A complex project involving not just design and animation but also implementing interactive elements.

At the other end of the spectrum is SKII and Louis Vuitton. Creating simple but beautiful packs and products that create life and personality to the products
