The Brief.

Augustinus Bader products are in a class of their own. Born from over 30 years of scientific research into skin regeneration their products really work. This film needed to reference the scientific kudos but still live in the skincare commercial landscape. In addition the new design of their packaging, (based on test tubes), is now sustainable in terms of its refillable nature and also entirely recyclable, a feature they wanted to celebrate.

Augustinus Bader products are born from over 30 years of scientific research and they really work. In a crowded market the scientific heritage of the products were, for us, the most important USP. Ensuring everything we did was grounded in reality, we did not want anything to appear fanciful or over the top, we wanted to maintain the credibility of the science.

Alongside Augustinus Bader’s internal team we created a concept that outlined the development of the product from design of the sustainable packaging to drawing parallels with the design and the scientific process. 

Choosing an aesthetic that was somewhere between a photoshoot and a real life laboratory setting we ensured each shot was composed as if it could be taken from the film and used as a key visual.

We devised a modular approach so the film could be edited to be multi-product or single product versions and include versions that were heavier on the design story or the science story.

Created primarily for social media each film was also delivered in multiple formats and as a kit of parts so the client could create their own language versions or new edits.
